Praise is the business of the sabbath

«A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath.» It is a good thing to give praise to the Lord, and to make melody to your name, O Most High; A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
To make clear your mercy in the morning, and your unchanging faith every night; To show forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
On a ten-corded instrument, and on an instrument of music with a quiet sound. Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
For you, O Lord, have made me glad through your work; I will have joy in the works of your hands. For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
O Lord, how great are your works! and your thoughts are very deep. O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
A man without sense has no knowledge of this; and a foolish man may not take it in. A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

The wicked shall perish, but God's people shall be exalted

When the sinners come up like the grass, and all the workers of evil do well for themselves, it is so that their end may be eternal destruction. When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
But you, O Lord, are on high for ever. But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.
For see! your haters, O Lord, will be put to death; all the workers of evil will be put to flight; For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
But my horn is lifted up like the horn of the ox: the best oil is flowing on my head. But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
My eyes have seen trouble come on my haters; my ears have news of the fate of the evil-doers who have come up against me. Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
The good man will be like a tall tree in his strength; his growth will be as the wide-stretching trees of Lebanon. The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those who are planted in the house of the Lord will come up tall and strong in his gardens. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They will give fruit even when they are old; they will be fertile and full of growth; They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
For a sign that the Lord is upright; he is my Rock, there is no deceit in him. To show that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
