BBE KJV

David endeavours to still his spirit, with hope and confidence in God

Be my judge, O God, supporting my cause against a nation without religion; O keep me from the false and evil man. Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
You are the God of my strength; why have you put me from you? why do I go in sorrow because of the attacks of my haters? For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
O send out your light and your true word; let them be my guide: let them take me to your holy hill, and to your tents. O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Then I will go up to the altar of God, to the God of my joy; I will be glad and give praise to you on an instrument of music, O God, my God. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
Why are you crushed down, O my soul? and why are you troubled in me? put your hope in God, for I will again give him praise who is my help and my God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
