The writer's humility. Believers encouraged to trust in God

«A Song of the going up. Of David.» Lord, there is no pride in my heart and my eyes are not lifted up; and I have not taken part in great undertakings, or in things over-hard for me. A Song of Ascents. By David. Yahweh, my heart isn’t haughty, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.
See, I have made my soul calm and quiet, like a child on its mother's breast; my soul is like a child on its mother's breast. Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
O Israel, have hope in the Lord, from this time and for ever. Israel, hope in Yahweh, from this time forth and forevermore.
