Those came back out of being prisoners are to be thankful

«A Song of the going up.» When the Lord made a change in Zion's fate, we were like men in a dream. A Song of degrees. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Then our mouths were full of laughing, and our tongues gave a glad cry; they said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
The Lord has done great things for us; because of which we are glad. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

Those yet as prisoners are encouraged

Let our fate be changed, O Lord, like the streams in the South. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
Those who put in seed with weeping will get in the grain with cries of joy. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Though a man may go out weeping, taking his vessel of seed with him; he will come again in joy, with the corded stems of grain in his arms. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
