An earnest words urging stand fast in the liberty of the gospel

Christ has truly made us free: then keep your free condition and let no man put a yoke on you again. Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
See, I Paul say to you, that if you undergo circumcision, Christ will be of no use to you. Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.
Yes, I give witness again to every man who undergoes circumcision, that he will have to keep all the law. Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
You are cut off from Christ, you who would have righteousness by the law; you are turned away from grace. You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.
For we through the Spirit by faith are waiting for the hope of righteousness. For we, through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.
Because in Christ Jesus, having circumcision or not having circumcision are equally of no profit; but only faith working through love. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision amounts to anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.
You were going on well; who was the cause of your not giving ear to what is true? You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?
This ready belief did not come from him who had made you his. This persuasion is not from him who calls you.
A little leaven makes a change in all the mass. A little yeast grows through the whole lump.
I am certain about you in the Lord, that you will be of no other mind; but he who is troubling you will have his punishment, whoever he is. I have confidence toward you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.
But I, brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still attacked? then has the shame of the cross been taken away. But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.
My desire is that they who give you trouble might even be cut off themselves. I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.

To take heed of indulging a sinful temper

Because you, brothers, were marked out to be free; only do not make use of your free condition to give the flesh its chance, but through love be servants one to another. For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.
For all the law is made complete in one word, even in this, Have love for your neighbour as for yourself. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
But if you are given to fighting with one another, take care that you are not the cause of destruction one to another. But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.

And to walk in the Spirit, and not to fulfil the lusts of the flesh: the works of both are described

But I say, Go on in the Spirit, and you will not come under the rule of the evil desires of the flesh. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh has desires against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; because these are opposite the one to the other; so that you may not do the things which you have a mind to do. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
But if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under the law. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are clear, which are these: evil desire, unclean things, wrong use of the senses, Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,
Worship of images, use of strange powers, hates, fighting, desire for what another has, angry feelings, attempts to get the better of others, divisions, false teachings, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
Envy, uncontrolled drinking and feasting, and such things: of which I give you word clearly, even as I did in the past, that they who do such things will have no part in the kingdom of God. envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, a quiet mind, kind acts, well-doing, faith, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
Gentle behaviour, control over desires: against such there is no law. gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
And those who are Christ's have put to death on the cross the flesh with its passions and its evil desires. Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
If we are living by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us be guided. If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.
Let us not be full of self-glory, making one another angry, having envy of one another. Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
